200 HOUR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
This training is for aspiring teachers, current teachers, and those without plans to teach yoga but seeking to deepen their practice.
Benett is a dedicated yoga student and teacher, personal trainer, Thai bodyworker, and world traveler. This 200 hour training will draw on his decades of experience to create a holistic view of yoga in its many forms. Participants will be prepared to lead yoga classes with evidence-based anatomical knowledge, historical and cultural significance, and with their own authentic voice. Topics covered include: Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin, Restorative and Prenatal styles as well as functional anatomy, pranayama, mantra, history, and philosophy… and of course, Thai massage techniques!

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
THERE'S NO WAY THE STANDARD 200 HOUR TEACHER TRAINING COURSE COULD POSSIBLY COVER ALL OF THE VAST DETAILS OF ANY YOGA PRACTICE, BUT EVERY JOURNEY BEINGS WITH A SINGLE STEP.
IN THIS TRAINING WE'LL ESTABLISH A FRAMEWORK FOR DESCRIBING MOVEMENT OF THE BODY, INCLUDING PRECISE ANATOMICAL TERMINOLOGY, FUNCTIONAL RANGE PHYSIOLOGY, AND EFFICIENT CUEING.
WE'LL ALSO EXPLORE THE VAST HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY OF YOGA AND IT'S VARIOUS PRACTICES. AND OF COURSE WE WILL DIVE DEEP INTO THE NON-ASANA PRACTICES OF THE ASHTANGA (8-LIMBED) METHOD, I.E. YAMAS & NIYAMAS, PRANAYAMA (BREATH CONTROL), PRATYAHARA (SENSE-WITHDRAWAL), AND DIFFERENT FORMS OF MEDITATION.

Payment
Part of my mission with this training is to build and sustain a community of dedicated practitioners, and to instill in us a love for this practice and each other. I am inspired by teachers and community leaders like Pranidhi at Yoga Shala West (LA) who are shifting how we view practice fees from 'transaction to trust'.
Of course, the experience of yoga is priceless, but there are costs involved in rent, equipment, utilities, taxes, and maintenance. In this 200hour training each student will contribute what they can so that all of us can thrive in the practice.
I trust that this training will be sustained by each student's honesty in what they contribute, and our collective integrity. Please assess what you can comfortably pay, at a base rate of $2500.
There are three payment options available, depending on your financial picture. Secure your place with a $500 deposit, regardless of pricing selection.
1 - $2750 : I am able to pay a little extra to help support someone who otherwise would be unable to join this training.
2 - $2500 : I am able to pay the base rate for this training.
3 - $2000 : I am able to pay some, but would greatly benefit from others' generosity in this training.
I will offer an additional 5% OFF for payments made in cash, but I accept card, PayPal, Zelle, and Venmo.
If you are interested in joining this training and becoming a dedicated member of this community, and your financial situation allows you to contribute less than $2000, please reach out and I'm happy to discuss a customized contribution plan.
